BenjaminAlterDear Dr. Patricia Bragg,

I am so honored and grateful to receive the generous scholarship that you have worked to provide for naturopathic students at NCNM. I see the gesture of this financial assistance affirming my alignment in the field of naturopathic medicine, and my vision to support patients in choosing a proactive relationship with their physical nourishment. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to lead a life in a path that you have worked to pave throughout your lifetime. It is always exciting to see the waves of mindful living and sustainable nutrition ripple throughout our world.

With Gratitude,

Dear Patricia and Kathy Duerr,AnthonyBalducci

I want to SINCERELY thank you both so much for awarding me a scholarship to support my Nautropathic education. It is a HUGE honor for me to receive your scholarship for 2015. I’m grinning from ear to ear as I write this. Calling up my Mom to tell her I’d been selected by you guys made my entire day. (Mom is also a HUGE fan of the nutrition work your family has done in the world, so she was incredibly excited).

For me, there are not too many better things in this world than making Mom proud and furthering my education in Naturopathic medicine. You made both of those magical things possible today… On that note, I wanted to write to thank you both from the bottom of my heart. If you were here I’d give you both a big ol’ hug. A virtual one will have to suffice.

With massive gratitude

 Dear Dr. Patricia Bragg,DanielFargo

I want to offer a heartfelt thank you for your support to the natural medicine community through the Bragg Health Foundation scholarships–both as a whole, and to myself, in particular. Although still early along on my medical path, the pursuits I have engaged in and the community to which I belong inspire a great sense of pride. This is a profession and a way of life that emphasize care for our patients, ourselves, and our peers. I am continually floored by the extent to which individuals who believe in this field are eager to provide assistance–in any form, as with your generous scholarship–to those that are committed to carrying forward the traditions and the spirit of this practice.

Through your generosity, you are helping to create new generations of natural health practitioners and I feel extremely lucky to be a part of this future. I look forward to honoring the spirit of your generosity in my work with patients and within my community, and I thank you again for your help in allowing me to do so.

With sincere gratitude,

Daniel Fargo, Student of Naturopathic Medicine, National College of Natural Medicine

ElyseOrtizrDear Dr. Bragg,

I am writing to thank you for the Bragg Health Foundation Scholarship. I am so grateful and honored to be a recipient of your generosity.

By lessening my financial burden, this scholarship empowers me to begin my second year at NCNM focused on what matters most to me becoming a skilled and passionate physician. I have always been a person who lives my passions, following the advice of my mentor to: “Find where the joy is leading and take the leap.” The decision to attend medical school was certainly a big leap for me. However, every day I am rewarded for this leap with the joy that comes from following one’s life purpose. More than any dollar value, you have given me this joy and for that I am extremely grateful.

Thank you for your investment in natural medicine and in the futures of students like me.

Sincerely and with deep gratitudeElyse Ortiz

Hello Dr. Bragg:Santiago_Nevarez

I am truly grateful for the great chance of receiving this scholarship that will help deal with the investment that is my education. This past month I have been doing an Internship with Natural Doctors International and I had to provide most of my house and board out of pocket, but it was an unique experience for me to observe the use of Naturopathic Medicine in the country of Nicaragua, where our resources might be limited and there are many things that some basic naturopathic counseling can do to help many of the people in here. After finishing this internship I was able to understand the great importance that nutrition can really play in our diets on the trans course I was able to observe how many uncontrolled diabetics were able to normalize their blood sugar levels just by eating less carbs in their diet and how no one had ever told them that carbohydrates transform into blood sugar after consumption. Just summarizing I am surprised in the way that nutrition can truly impact the health of people in so many ways and just recommending some subtle changes you can help many people do a big change and have a better quality of life. The help that I have obtained via this scholarship will help me deal with some of the investment that I underwent during my internship and so I would like to extend my deep gratitude to you for helping me and the Naturopathic profession by your constant support.

GuillermoDear Patricia Bragg and Kathy Duerr,

I am writing to thank you for your generosity; I was selected as a recipient of the Patricia and Paul C. Bragg scholarship award for fall 2015. I am happy and appreciative of your support. Your generosity fuels my enthusiasm for becoming a Naturopathic Doctor. I am currently starting my third year of medical school and with that, I have earned the responsibility of becoming a clinician.  My career has shifted towards honing my skills as a caregiver, and my didactic load has dwindled. In my new role, I will be assisting my attending physicians and fellow fourth-year students in clinic. Now, I will be taking care of patients and I will continue to champion nutrition as an adjunct to better health.  I could not have reached this stage without the support of friends like you. By awarding me the Patricia and Paul C. Bragg scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning. The kindness and support you have offered me will surely enrich my experience at the South West College of Naturopathic Medicine, and it inspires me to continue helping others.

Sincerely, Guillermo Ruiz

To Patricia and Kathy DuerrDejan

First of all, I want to thank you deeply for the opportunity to take part in submitting my thoughts on nutrition to you. I feel very strong about the topic of nutrition and it is an area that I love to study, discuss, and learn about daily. Secondly, thank you for choosing me as a finalist. For that selection I am truly humbled. This award means a great deal to me as a student do to our tough financial situation and limited to complete absence of income. I will always be a supporter of the Bragg products and will continue to spread the great message about the Bragg products. I now feel that I have a special connection with the Bragg name and there will always be a special in my heart for the Bragg company. This award cemented my interest in writing about nutrition and has motivated me to continue to share my thoughts and ideas with others, not only with speaking but with text as well. Thank you is not powerful enough of a word to express my thoughts as I am truly appreciative. All the best to you.

Yours sincerely, Dejan Matijevic – Quarter 5 Naturopathic Medical Student, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine
